This is the machine the whole line is built around. Hollow PP straws from the straw extruder are woven into a warp prepared on the warping machine, and the computerized jacquard lifts the warp ends in the order the design calls for, so the pattern is woven into the mat.
A mechanical jacquard needs a set of paper pattern cards for every design. They have to be made, changed by hand, and replaced when they tear. Here the design is a digital file: load it into the jacquard from a USB stick, then switch from one pattern to another with the buttons on the display built into the machine. No paper pattern cards are needed, which saves the cost of making them and the trouble when they break.
